Since I can’t physically be at New York Fashion Week, I’ve been scouring blogs and fashion sites to get a taste of what it’s like being there. My favorite thing to do is look at the street style images of all the people attending. It’s a great way to get inspiration and ideas in what other people are wearing and how you might be able to wear similar pieces that you might have in ways that you didn’t think.
I decided to bite the bullet and get on this new backpack craze with a brand spanking new purchase. And boy am I glad that I did! I absolutely love my backpack….which is black leather with gold studs across the outer pockets. Rockerish yet glam and easily acceptable for daytime and nighttime. The more images I saw, the more I realized how chíc they truly are. Take a look for yourself.
Now this may seem like a fairly obvious trick to know for some people, but apparently I got a bit lost in translation and was tucking my shirt in like a Neanderthal or something! Thank god I found this example for tucking in your shirt properly because for the past 2 weeks I have followed this diagram and let me tell you…it has been life changing! Something so simple as tucking in your shirt a different way can seriously change up how your outfit looks! So if you are like me and are getting reacquainted with the proper technique, I hope you like the outcome as much as I did! Click MORE to see some other examples. Happy tucking 😉
It never ceases to amaze me the particular fashion trends that come back into style. Now that I’m at the ripe ‘ol age of 24, I have made a vow to myself to keep as many of my clothing articles as possible even if they go out of style because chances are, they will be back on trend once again! I used to love the skorts. They had the mobility of shorts, yet were fancy like a skirt! The possibilities were endless. Today’s skorts have been taken up a notch with the design of the triangular front. It changes the whole design aesthetic and gives the skort a fresh new makeover with more ways to style it. Maybe it’s because I’m from New York…or maybe it’s because I just love the color. But either way, I LOVE WEARING BLACK. And no matter what season it is, I still find myself leaning towards this color of clothing. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy my whites and greys…and OTHER real colors such as green, blue, etc. But my go to outfit usually includes neutrals…and it’s usually black. Even though you can easily wear black at any time of the day during any season, there is still a right way and a wrong way to go about wearing it. Whether it’s with
I’m an absolute sucker when it comes to a white t-shirt. It seriously doesn’t get much more classic than that, though I’m usually the one who’s putting the ‘ass’ in ‘classic’. (And no it’s not a reference to the size of my ass, but the way I usually seem to make a fool out of myself.) The great thing about a t-shirt is that you still get variety. V-neck, scoop neck, square neck…you get my point. I wrote two posts in the past about pairing certain necklaces with the right necklines and the perfect necklace length, which are equally important when it comes to
