Witch Hazel has been around for ages and ages and used as an astringent on the skin. Not only does it work just as well (if not better) then some department store face astringents, but it also has a few other beauty uses a well. Here’s a quick list of 5 ways to get more out of your bottle of witch hazel:

  1. As a makeup setter – pour some into a spray bottle and mist onto skin after applying all of your makeup
  2. Stop a shiny t-zone – this astringent easily dissolves excess oil for a shine free face that lasts for hours
  3. Sooth razor burn – if you see some bumps around your bikini area after shaving, use a cotton ball with witch hazel on the bumps as it soaks up the moisture which causes the irritation
  4. Deflate under-eye bagsthe anti-inflammatory properties that it holds helps nix swelling
  5. Degrease your roots – dab along your hairline and part, then use your blow-dryer to dry the residuewitchhazel
