If that headline didn’t grab you, I don’t know what would! Anywho, let me introduce you to a new drink recipe that I have come across that includes grapefruit juice, tequila (oh lord), and orange liqueur for a new take on an alternative to a Margarita. It can be prepared in 10 minutes, makes 4 servings, and is only 188 calories per serving!! If that doesn’t clinch the deal then you might as well just give up because this has everything in a drink that I desire. Alcohol, yumminess, and low calories. If you’re daring enough then go ahead and try it out and let me know what you think!

Ingredients:

  • Coarse salt, (optional)
  • 4 ounces  tequila, divided
  • 2 ounces  orange-flavored liqueur, such as Cointreau, divided
  • 3 cups  grapefruit juice, divided
  • 4   grapefruit slices, for garnish

Directions:

Wet the rims of 4 glasses and coat with coarse salt (if desired); fill the glasses with ice. Pour 1 ounce tequila and 1/2 ounce liqueur into each. Top each with 3/4 cup grapefruit juice and stir. Garnish with a slice of grapefruit.
